More than 50 presenters participated in the live event showcasing high-demand public sector jobs.

The region’s fourth Public Service Career Expo took place Nov. 3-4, 2021. This free, virtual event was designed to help middle and high-school students explore high-demand and rewarding career opportunities in local government. With support from The Volcker Alliance’s Government-to-University Initiative and The DeBruce Foundation, 17 cities and counties across the Kansas City region co-sponsored the expo. The event featured locally-produced, professional videos and live interactive sessions showcasing 10 different public sector career areas.

As part of the event, speakers introduced students to the Agile Work Profiler, an online career survey designed to help individuals discover their strengths and interests related to work. Numerous job shadow, volunteer and internship opportunities are available. Learn more today!
